ABOUT

Nat Whitten is the author of five books that defy easy categorization. His most recent is The SuperOptimist Guide to Unconventional Living. Co-authored with Walt Morton, the book will be released in September. Whitten has spent the majority of his professional life as an award-winning creative director and copywriter, most notably with Chiat/Day, his own shop, Weiss, Whitten, Stagliano, and Nat Whitten Incorporated for projects on both the agency and client sides. His work for such brands as The New York Times, Giorgio Armani, HSBC, Bloomberg, Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Bass Ale, Merrill Lynch, Guerlain, and The Economist has garnered critical success both here and abroad, as well as numerous honors for advertising effectiveness. When he’s not ideating, Whitten can be found playing bass with the Burlinson Whitten Trio.
